History of Gleanings

 

We represent a new brand in the market of professional legal services in Belarus - Gleanings (mean. «carefully collected data and information»).

 

So, why Gleanings? And what principles of rendering of legal services are put in the meaning of this word?

 

Having worked in the market of legal services in Belarus for about 7 years, in the end of 2008 we decided to create a new independent brand which would reflect our approach to rendering legal services that we took for ourselves as a basis in work with clients.

 

To listen a client, understand, analyse a situation, to collect the additional information and to state a legal estimation. We apply such algorithm of actions in work with our clients. Carefully collected data and the information on specificity of activity of the client help us to leave from templates in work and really to penetrate into a question essence.

 

At the first stage we understood the value which was necessary for enclosing in the name, but with the choice of the name there were some complexities. In a head every possible variations of words "lawyer", "right" and "service" raised, sometimes also meanings of legal terms with Latin roots of a kind "lex", "legal", "femida" came. We have even stopped at one similar variant, but then realized, that selection of the name within such technique contradicts our rule - "to leave from templates". Therefore the decision to find a separate word as much as possible characterizing our principles in work was accepted.

 

And such word has been found - Gleanings.

 

Moreover, Gleanings has also another meaning which was used in the religious writings. In many historical documents Gleanings symbolizes the rests of a crop which were authorised to monks for gathering and then transfering to the poors.

In our work we do not apply for a role of the monks, and our clients are people not needy in meal. Our clients require a competent legal assistance, and we are ready to provide them with it operatively and effectively.
